America's Fallen Hero's

CPL Benjamin S. Kopp

Ben Kopp joined the military out of respect and admiration for his great grandfathers service to America in WWII and to vindicate the events of 9/11. He served two tours in Iraq and a third in Afghanistan.

In a firefight with the Taliban on 10 July 2009, Ben saved six of his fellow Rangers in a battle that would mortally wound him.

He died eight days later at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington DC.

Upon his death he donated his organs, bone, skin and tissue saving or enhancing the lives of 60 people. His heart is still beating today in the chest of a woman from suburban Chicago. He is laid to rest in the hallowed section 60 at Arlington National Cemetery.
